Welcome All Karateka

Our fourth annual traditional karate tournament will be held in beautiful Grand Junction, CO on October 22, 2011.

The tournament will be held at the Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St. Grand Junction CO. -  www.tworiversconvention.com.

We moved to Grand Junction from Paonia to have the opportunity to offer a high class competition venue. Also the travel is much easier, less than 4 hours on I-70 from either Denver or Salt Lake City. There are many flights available  into Walker Field in Grand Junction, CO.

We have arranged for accommodations next door to the venue at Hampton Inn or Main St Suites. See attached information. If you are more budget minded the Rodeway Inn  across the street is inexpensive.

Consider coming a day early to enjoy the amenities including wineries (18 in the Grand Valley), mountain biking and of course very nice golf courses. We plan to have an IMA group playing golf on Friday October 21st, 2011 at Redlands Mesa. (Please e-mail your interest to Dory Funk ( dfunk@va.org)

We will be using USANKF Rules and USANKF rated referees and judges. The opening ceremony will be held at 9:30 AM, to give some local participants a chance to travel Saturday AM.
